Exceptional architecturally designed 19th century Swedish Empire secretary desk in flame birch with great subtle patination. Exterior with a folding writing board with leather inlay and four drawers flanked by columns. Fittings of bronze and pressed brass. Interior with eleven drawers, one compartment and a secret drawer. Ca 1810 - 1820 Stockholm, Sweden.
Good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Two handles on top drawer replaced and one brass fitting for an column in the interior. Small veneer replacements done by an professional restorer.
