A SWEDISH DESIGN STORY, MAY 2025

We are so excited about the new Sweden Lounge inauguration at the Embassy! A meeting place that is a tribute to Swedish furniture design.
Created by TAF Studio (Mattias Såhlbom and Gabriella Lenke), the lounge draws inspiration from Swedish nature and craftsmanship, with a color palette echoing granite, gneiss and Kolmården marble.
The Sweden Lounge is produced with support from the Swedish Institute @swedense and project manager by Ulrika Rosvall.
The distinguished panel of design experts explored the similarities and differences between Swedish and American design, featuring:
