A sweeping arc of hot-forged steel, balanced on a single slender stem, Atrum Floor is SEKT’s candleholder scaled up to stand on its own. At over a metre tall, it reads as much as sculpture as object. It is a graphic line drawn in black that brings quiet ceremony to an entryway, a dining room or the corner of a living space, lit or unlit.
Each piece is hand-forged from solid steel at Ferrum Smide, a smithy in Flädie just outside Malmö, and finished by oil-burning. That traditional technique gives the steel its deep black surface, with subtle traces of the forge. It holds two candles of 45mm diameter.
